Happy to announce the design for a new dwelling near Calanish on the Isle of Lewis has beeen submitted for planning approval. The 85m2, one bedroom house will have views over the nearby neolithic stone circles, and features a personal library and “Scholar’s Garden” inspired by Japanese precedents. It will use untreated larch, corrugated fibre cement cladding profile sheeting and patinated zinc facades and is sheltered by gabion wallls built from local stone recycled from a previous house on the site.
