About
Kindelan/Grant Architects is based on the Isle of Skye and was founded in 2012 by Architects Elena Kindelan and Ian Grant.
We work closely with our clients to make unique and beautiful houses, that respect their needs, the natural context, and the cultural history which surrounds them. We have a varied background in different architectural enterprises and can also bring our personal hands-on experiences of making buildings to bear on the demands facing our clients.
The briefing process, whereby the specific requirements of our clients and potential design solutions can be explored in depth, is critical to the success of every project. We offer a personal, collaborative service, which draws on our design experience and skills, as well as our clients’ own ideas, to create thoughtful, sensitive and highly individual solutions to site specific projects.
Through innovative interpretations of vernacular materials, architectural style, and building methods, we are committed to making modern, energy efficient, comfortable, and well-designed homes.
We aim to apply this ethos to projects of all sizes and types whether commissioned by individuals, businesses, or communities.
